It’s been revealed, surprisingly considering past comments, that the new movie for Tanya the Evil will be a sequel to the TV series. It will focus on a brand new story and will highlight the change in relationship between Tanya the top brass.
It was also revealed that there was originally no plan for any additional work on the series but fan support help change the minds of those in charge. Director Yutaka Uemura said he would work to optimize the movie for a theatrical presentation and that the movie Dunkirk would influence his vision.
