New Original Series from Crunchyroll
Ellation Studios was launched as a Crunchyroll branded animation studio that aims to create original content; the first of which is a new series called High Guardian Spice. Not much has been revealed about the series other than it focuses on a group of young girls experiencing mischief and adventure as they try to become heroes. The bulk of the advertising was focused on pointing out that the series will have a diverse cast and that the team making the series is all-female.

Star Wars: Resistance Trailer
The so called anime-inspired series released its first trailer and left a cold impression on viewers, with the like to dislike ratio currently siting at 9.8k likes and 57k dislikes. The bulk of the complaints seem to stem from the fact that the series is too kid-friendly and has left people lacking enthusiasm with its style and general presentation. Some also pointed that Disney doesn’t seem fully committed to the series as a Star Wars property, since its trailer is on the Disney Youtube channel and not the Star Wars one. Others questioned why a series so obviously aimed at children plays so late at night on their upcoming streaming channel. Either way, it doesn’t look like this series is where Star Wars will redeem its recent blunders.
