Aniplex Invests in Madman
Aniplex has purchased a minority share of Madman Entertainment. Madman is an Australian company that has often been the distributor of Aniplex titles and with this news comes the uncertainty of whether or not Aniplex titles will see their prices surge. Madman as often been seen as a healthier financial alternative to those who don’t want to pay Aniplex’s absurd prices and while CEO Tim Anderson assures us their pricing strategy has not changed, only time will verify the validity of this claim.

Scale of the New Sword Art Online Series
While any hint as to the actual length of the new series are still lacking, we have been informed through Kazuma Miki (Light novel editor and anime producer) that the new series (Sword Art Online: Alicization) will cover the entire Alicization arc of the novels. That’s a lot of novels (Around 10) and considering how many novels were adapted by previous series (Around 4) the 3rd season would need around 50 episodes to have a respectable pace.
