New Layton Anime in the Works
Shogakukan’s Ciao’s February issue revealed on Friday that a new anime in the Layton mystery series of anime adaptation of the original games is planned for a spring 2018 permiere. The new anime is set to adapt Layton’s Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires’ Conspiracy.

Teekyu Manga to End
The manga Teekyu is finally set to end 2 chapters from now on the 25th of January with its 134th chapter.

Arifureta Zero Prequel Novel Licensed
J-Novel Club announced Thursday that it has licensed Arifureta – From Commonplace to World’s Strongest’s prequel series: Arifureta Zero. Further more, the company plans a simultaneous publication with Japan as the first part of the first novel is already available on their website, for FREE.

Cast for Hugttto! Revealed, Sort of…
The cast for the upcoming Precure series Hugtto! was revealed on thursday and included: Rie Hikisaka (As Cure Yell), Rina Hon’izumi (As Cure Ange), Yui Ogura (As Cure Étoile), Junko Noda (As Hariham Harii) and Konomi Tada (As Hug-tan). So what’s the problem? Well, the cast announcement was swiftly removed after it had been revealed; perhaps indicating a leak.

Takagi-san Teases Anime Release
In the latest marketing stunt for the upcoming anime series adaptation of the manga Karakai Jozu no Takagi-san, attendees at the Takagi Shrine in Oshiage will be able to take pictures with a lifesize standee Takagi-san.

More Anime Could be Leaving Netflix
We already heard about the latest Pokémon titles leaving Netflix but it seems more titles are in danger as well. With Netflix’s anime generally staying up from 12 – 24 months, Gunslinger Girl and the Irregular at Magic High School could go next. Of course, Aniplex has renewed titles at the last minute before so there are no guarantees but I would recommend seeing these while they are up.
