New Information on the Shaman King Spin-Off
The new Shaman King spin-off that was earlier announced will be titled Shaman King Gaiden: Red Crimson and will start publication June 16. The manga will focus on Tao Jun, Ren’s sister.

100 Sleeping Princes has Manga in the Works
The smartphone game The Kingdom of Dreams and the 100 Sleeping Princes was recently revealed as having a manga adaptation in the works.

New Batch of Manga Ending
- Baki Gaiden – Scarface: Keisuke Itagaki and Yukinao Yamauchi’s manga is going in indefinite hiatus.
- Scrapped Princess: Toshinori Sogabe has just concluded his manga adaptation of Scrapped Princess.
- Takunomi: Haruto Hino’s manga will publish its last chapter on May 25, but will still have a side-story chapter on June 1.

Japan’s Manga Market
The general sale of manga in Japan has decreased 14.6% in 2017 (Leading to the third consecutive year where a loss is incurred). On the other hand, the profits from digital sales of manga increased by 17.2% in 2017 (Such sales have been steadily increasing since 2015). On the global level, the profits of manga in 2017 went down 0.9%.
