Nio Nakatani’s manga (Yagate Kimi ni Naru) is being adapted into an anime TV series set to premiere this October.

Riding Bean Anime Revealed

Kenichi Sonoda’s mysterious Project B.B. is revealed to be an anime of Riding Bean (With B.B. standing for Bean Bandit). It will also cross over with other works such as Gunsmith Cats.

Wanpack’s Closure

Wanpack, which handled animation for many studios in the industry who outsourced part of their work, has closed due to Koji Yamada’s death. Most of its animators are now freelance and it is still unclear how studios will cope with the lost of such a significant company in their production process. It is still difficult at this point for Wanpack’s young and talented animators to find work, perhaps highlighting how difficult an industry like this can be and what some of its underlying problems still represent. It is to note that all of this is in spite of a shortage of manpower within the greater industry.
