The game will be released in Japan on April 19 on the Playstation 4 and Vita and will cost 65$ for the physical edition and 60$ for the digital edition. A limited edition will also be released for 93$ and will contain: A book, a 3 disc 25th anniversary soundtrack and three in-game items. A digital premium editions (Going for 73$) will also be released containing: A digital edition of the 3 disc soundtrack, a theme for the PS4 or PS Vita and three in-game items.
The game will be released in North America and Europe this fall for around 60$ by NIS America.

The game collection of both Shenmue I & II will be released in Japan for the Playstation 4 only and for the Playstation 4, Xbox One and PC in North America and Europe. Both Japanese and English audio will be featured as well as a choice between classic and modern controls.
