Aniplex Invests in Madman

Aniplex has purchased a minority share of Madman Entertainment. Madman is an Australian company that has often been the distributor of Aniplex titles and with this news comes the uncertainty of whether or not Aniplex titles will see their prices surge. Scale of the New Sword Art Online Series

While any hint as to the actual length of the new series are still lacking, we have been informed through Kazuma Miki (Light novel editor and anime producer) that the new series (Sword Art Online: Alicization) will cover the entire Alicization arc of the novels.
