We finally have sales numbers from Oricon to tell us which manga were the most popular in Japan last year:

 One Piece (11 495 532 copies sold)

Attack on Titan (6 622 781 copies sold)

 Kingdom (6 184 214 copies sold)

My Hero Academia (5 852 310 copies sold)

 Tokyo Ghoul:re (5 303 514 copies sold)

 Haikyuu!! (5 067 939 copies sold)

Seven Deadly Sins (3 592 571 copies sold)

 One-Punch Man (3 223 151 copies sold)

 Food Wars! (2 792 441 copies sold)

Magi: The Labyrinth of Magic (2 713 074 copies sold)

Except for the undefeated behemoth One Piece who takes the lead for another year, it’s actually a pretty tight race for most of the contenders and My Hero Academia certainly seems to have skyrocketed in recent years.
