A contest for stories of characters transported to another world has just opened thanks to Kadokawa’s Comic Walker and Dwango’s Nico Nico Douga. The winner of the contest will earn 4500$ and a publishing opportunity and a prize of 2700$ will be given to the best work targeting women as well as publishing opportunities.

Submissions must be sent by May 6th with all winners announced in May. To qualify, all submissions must be about a character going to another world or to a video game that is considered another world. Entries can be within the 16 – 80 pages range and must be submitted to Nico Nico’s manga website.

In recent times, certain contests have complained about being overwhelmed with isekai stories and some have even banned them, but it seems some publishers with a head on their shoulders decided to cash in on the popularity and judging by the prizes, they aim to offer stories targeting both gender demographic.
